1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using Selah, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms are in addition to Apple's standard End User License Agreement, which also applies to your use of Selah.
2. The service
Selah is a Christian discipleship app offering an 8-week guided program of scripture, devotionals, prayer, daily tasks, and community accountability. Selah is a devotional and community tool. It does not provide medical, mental health, or legal advice, and nothing in the app should be treated as a substitute for professional guidance in those areas.
3. Eligibility
You must meet the minimum age required by the App Store in your country to maintain an account, and you must have the legal capacity to accept these terms. Selah is intended for users at least 17 years old — pending owner confirmation; recommended given the purity/accountability features, and matched to the same field in the Privacy Policy.
4. Accounts & accountability circles
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for safeguarding your credentials. Content you share within a Brotherhood or Sisterhood accountability circle, or on the community feed, is visible to other members of that circle or feed as the feature is designed — share accordingly.
5. Subscriptions & billing
Selah offers subscription tiers billed through the Apple App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Manage or cancel your subscription in your device's App Store account settings. Payments, renewals, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's own terms; refund requests should be directed to Apple.
6. Community conduct
You agree not to use Selah to:
- Harass, threaten, or abuse another member of your circle or community.
- Post content that is unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or track.
- Attempt to access another user's account or data, or interfere with the app's operation.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
7. Crisis & safety disclaimer
Selah includes a crisis check-in feature intended to help route you toward real help. Selah is not an emergency service and does not monitor check-ins in real time. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services (in the US, call 911), call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or text HOME to 741741 for the Crisis Text Line, rather than relying on the app.
Some devotional content, and responses from the "Hey Selah" voice assistant, are generated with the help of a third-party AI provider. This content is offered for reflection and encouragement — it is not a substitute for pastoral counsel, and it is never the right channel for a genuine emergency.
8. Intellectual property
The Selah app, its design, and its original devotional and program content are owned by the entity operating Selah — needs the registered legal name (e.g. "Selah, Inc." or an LLC name) before publishing; we have no record of one on file or its licensors. You may use the app for your personal, non-commercial use only, and may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from its content without permission.
9. Disclaimers
Selah is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular spiritual, physical, or financial outcome.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Selah and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Termination
You may stop using Selah and delete your account at any time (see Delete Your Account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state/country the operating entity is organized in — needs owner input, tied to the same answer as Intellectual Property above, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use of Selah after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
